And so I finally burst out of my lurker state to bring you tales of the amazing time I had at Anime Boston over the weekend.

First off: I am officially in love with the idea of cosplaying now.

MOVING ON!

Friday was epic! If a little short lived because I only got there around one in the afternoon _{God damn four hour drives} but I can't really complain. I GOT TO SEE LUNA AND CHAOS!!!! Not to mention ~Xim74 and finally meet ~Greenbar0, Mr Facade, and Megan. I found them in the game room right before they went on stage to play Rock Band as Sasuke, Mr Facade, Xigbar and some random awesome person they met on line preforming Pretty Fly for a White Guy. This weekend couldn't have started on a more amusing note.

The main highlight of the day, if not the ENTIRE WEEKEND, was pestering Matt Herms - you know ~herms85, Mr Epic Artist, and official colorist for the Archie Sonic comic - to do a commission involving everyone's favorite Crack pairing Shadow/Mina. He was amused by the pairing, he was kind enough to NOT call use crazy for liking it(to our face at least, dunno about after we left), and not only is Mina one of his favorite characters, but he also does not like Ash aka Mina's "Oh hi here's a randomly inserted boyfriend to stop people from going on about the Sally/Sonic/Mina love triangle, who just so happens to be the paranoid jealous type."

This leaves me very happy. He also asked us to send him pictures of the Sonic Cosplay meet up. Not to mention he even took a picture of ~Shadow-Luna because she was the first cosplayer he ever saw to do Mina.

I'm openly tempted to do a Scourge cosplay now, if only to waltz up to the Archie booth at a convention and start complaining about the events of STH 196 and 197 just to see Ian's reaction.

I also got a picture of Sasuke(*GuidingChaos)forgiving Itachi(~Ravengirl9) for killing their parents. Apparently Chaos was the only Sasuke who forgave Itachi. Awww...

Saturday consisted of the awesome Sonic Cosplay, where we actually meet True Blue fans in person! IT WAS AMAZING!!! I also nearly broke my sister's spare camera when ~Xim74 *GuidingChaos and I were stopped to pose for a picture. I seriously have NO luck with camera's these days...

Also: where did all of these Sonic fans suddenly come from? I mean till this year I've never seen so many Sonic fans out and about at cons. Maybe it cause the games are finally becoming decent...

Spent at least and hour of the morning waiting for the rest of my Sonic group because I was the only one who got there around the time we had agreed on. But it was fine because I got to hang with a ton of awesome FMA cosplayers as a result since I ran into an Olivia Armstrong when I was wandering around. Unlike the character she is in the manga, the woman was super nice and invited me to come hangout during a FMA photoshoot while I waited. Given how I got to see two very sexy Havoc cosplayers pose shirtless I was not in the mood to complain when Chaos and the others actually did arrive.

... When's my next convention?

Poor Chaos spent nearly all of her money on this giant octopus plushie, which in hindsight was really funny because it resulted in Shadow carrying around a potential and super cute tentacle monster for a good part of the con. I am sorely tempted to draw Pirate!Shadow playing with a baby Kracken now...

We also harassed EVERY SINGLE Death the Kid cosplayer we found over the weekend via saying "Your hair's unsymmetrical." My personal favorite would have to be the one who I found while waiting for everyone on Saturday, most just cry out in sorrow but he COLLAPSED in anguish when I said it to him. XD

I must admit though, I don't think I could ever bring myself to cosplay Amy Rose again. At least not while ~Xim74 is cosplaying Sonic. I admittedly felt weird pretending to be in love with my friend's boyfriend for the sake of staying in character. Though that might be simply because of the most recent fight those two had had...

Then again wandering around in a cocktail dress for all of Saturday was annoying. Especially when I tried to sit on the floor and NOT provide people with a panty shot. Not easy when my preferred sitting pose it crossing my legs.

I need to cosplay someone with PANTS.

Sunday was also unfortunately short for me as well _{See? What did I say about the car drives?} I was able to spend awesome time with everyone though. I hung out with ~Xim74 till he had to go to the final practice of Cosplay Chess (he was Sasuke for Team Sit in the corner) and then spent time with Luna in Artist Alley, where she gave out the art she didn't manage to sell. Herms was particularly happy about the piece she let him take and even gave her a sketch he had had of Sonic for free as thanks. (AWWW) We then proceeded to hang out with Chaos on line while we waited for Cosplay Chess to open. We found a KOENMA of all cosplayers while waiting on line, which was awesome. He was also really cute which made it even better when he gave me a hug, superficial little girl that I am.

Also for record I think every single Bandit Keith cosplayer was sick of hearing people shout "IN AMERICA" at him.

Got into Cosplay Chess to Find ~Xim74 sulking on stage in a corner with Cloud and Riku almost right in front of us because we are awesome and got really close seats.

They also had us sing the Pokemon theme while we were waiting for it to start. I need to put the song on my I-pod now.

The Match was Team Nice verses Team Mean to obtain a jury for the Trial of Torhu Honda, who was believed to have killed Sailor Moon.

EGGMAN was the king piece for Team Mean, how KICK ASS is that?

I was able to make it through about a third/half of Cosplay Chess before I had to leave. Which sucks but obviously, it's on Youtube so I know what happened after I left. I also successfully left the awesome bandanna I bought because I am a forgetful idiot. XP Chaos if you could bring it with you the next time we hang out that'd be lovely.

I can't WAIT for next year!
